DCLXVI
- Flesh CD-R, copy 08/20
This arrived the day after I posted that last batch of reviews and was tempted
to write a separate one just for it, but since I know that I was going to be
receiving a crap load of stuff that I bought of Ebay soon, I thought I would
wait and put it all together. This CDR starts off with the very best track and
not surprisingly, it is LIVE. You can't beat live noise, when it is done correctly
and my fellow noise heads, this is! The first track builds slowly and begins
to twist and tumble as if a freight train is being stuffed into an active volcano,
screeching and popping as the heat buckles the steel. There are 7 tracks on
this little necessity, with second going to really cave your head in. As for
the third it is a bit weak and the forth, just spoken word. I don't think they
are any match for the first and second, but with that said, the fifth and sixth
make up for it while track 7 continues the spoken word track with lots of ambient
sounds. This noise is seemingly computer generated but this is what puts others
in the scene to shame. Nice to know that computers are being used for more than
just porn by the major money makers of this world, proof that noise from a crap
top can work, if you have a clue as to what you are doing.
